The Makings Of Our Enveloppe

The Makings Of Our Enveloppe

Sharing some photos from my conversations with our team in Italy last week. I talk to them daily and sometimes hourly via every communication channel there is. Everyone worked incredibly hard to get the Enveloppe here for you for the holidays.

As always, we work with our luxury suppliers and tanneries to use the best existing materials to create beautiful products that I envision. We have been doing this for years. This time we are introducing two beautiful prints and one new color in the same technical nyon we use for our beloved Editke bags. You'll see the fire red and violet colors again.
The Enveloppe is 90% vegan. The removable strap is leather. Once we got our technical nylon, our team went door to door to find the right matching leathers. It's presently easier to find existing leathers than to create a vegan leather to match our colors. We try to be as sustainable as we can and be mindful of our consumption.
We love to create well-crafted products that you can enjoy for years and we use every last piece of material we purchase. We've always been this way. What is interesting about this whole process is that we have different quantities in each of the prints and colors because we are only working with existing materials. It makes it more challenging for our team but it's worth it.
I am so proud of our team, our bag factory and every single craftsperson whose 'hands and touch' worked magic. I love the Enveloppe and I know you do too from what you have shared with us!
