Terroir is the foundation of Zvelle.
Every decision begins with origin, where the leather comes from, where the shoe is shaped, whose hand shaped it.
A Zvelle begins with its dress soul. That’s the thread through every one of my designs.
Alatus was born from my fascination with flight. Movement. Curvature. Lift.
This is my language.
Sculptural waves are caught mid-motion and held in leather.
Each curve in the Alatus is hand-stitched in the direction of the grain.
Each Zvelle Alatus pair begins as raw crust leather, fully-tanned but unfinished. A bare surface, a future character.
Zvelle patina is slowly layered by hand, adding shadow and light and creating deepening lines where Alatus’ curves take flight.
Every Alatus is an original and its color will continue deepening for as long as it is worn. No two pairs are the same.
What earns its place is decided by everything turned away. Terroir.
I create by instinct and obsessive choices.
I know every hand a Zvelle passes through: the tanner, the modelist, the artisan who finishes the pair.
I chose them all.
